Viettel reports an increase of 12.8 percent in turnover in February.

Accordingly, its 4G service has been expanded to remote areas and become the best 4G service provider of the country.

In particular, several of Viettel’s affiliated units such as Viettel Business Solutions Corp and Viettel Digital Service Company have also gained impressive growth rates. Notably, Halotel, the Viettel branch in Tanzania, has fulfilled 110 percent of its master plan.

In 2020, the group will continue to fulfill its goal of “Leading in forming the digital society.” Viettel will invest and expand its 4G network coverage to 96.86 percent of the population. Currently, the corporation is the only operator of the HD voice service on its 4G network and adds nearly 10,000 new subscribers every day.

In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Threat Intelligent System of the Viettel Cyber Security Company detected two cyber-attacks and issued warnings to all of its customers.

Maintaining the growth momentum is not an easy task for the group in the current context of COVID-19. Therefore, several affiliated units of Viettel have had business plans changed accordingly. Viettel Post has planned to add expenses in compensation for losses in its delivery service while Viettel Import and Export Company will boost sales on its retail channels. Meanwhile, Viettel Business Solutions Corp intends to promote other activities in compensation for the shortage of roaming turnover.
