Previously, Viettel FC successfully enrolled two quality domestic players, midfielder Que Ngoc Hai from Song Lam-Nghe An FC and striker Vu Minh Tuan from Thanh Hoa FC.
Besides, the team recruited three Brazilian players: Gustavo, Kayo and De Souza. Midfielder Gustavo, 23, 1.95m tall, played for two well-known Brazilian teams Diameta and Sao Paulo. Midfielder Kayo, who played for Brazilian professional clubs from 2012, is seen as a versatile footballer. Striker De Souza, 21, is considered an active goal scorer.
Assistant coach Nguyen Hai Bien affirmed that Viettel FC’s coaching board is pleased with their current players. Regarding the new recruits, though they have not played in real games for Viettel FC, they all have good sense of morality and good coordination with the remainders. The Viettel Sports Center always sets this virtue its top priority and important criterion for educating and training young footballers.
At present, Viettel FC’s players are making preparations for their opening match of the V-League 2019 against SHB Da Nang FC at Hoa Xuan stadium in Da Nang city on February 24. With a high-quality formation headed by experienced coach Lee Heung-sil, Viettel FC is expected to dominate the host.
Lieutenant Colonel Ha Huu Tam, Deputy Director of the Viettel Sports Center, underlined that during the upcoming V-League 2019, Viettel FC is determined to present professional competence, fair play and dedication to the team’s fans. All members will do their utmost in each game to hone their skills. Viettel FC targets to finish the tough ride in the middle of the V-League 2019 standings.
