Vietnam Airlines partners with China Southern Airlines.

The cooperation agreement, taking effect in September, covers all areas, including commerce, services, and techniques to improve flight experience of and bring outstanding values to their passengers.

Under the deal, both carriers will give priority to each other's products and services. They will also work together to develop their base airports into major air transport hubs in the region.

Han Wensheng, CEO of China Southern Airlines highlighted the comprehensive cooperation, saying that it will help enhance exchanges between China and Southeast Asian countries and those in the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), and bring more expansive options and superior travel experiences to global passengers.

The China Southern Airlines’ senior official hoped that the cooperation will contribute to creating a firm foundation for Beijing Daxing International Airport to develop into an aviation hub of the world.

Expressing delight at the signing of the comprehensive cooperation agreement with China Southern Airlines, one of the biggest airlines in China and the world, Vietnam Airlines CEO Le Hong Ha said the ties will bring in more benefits for passengers and contribute to strengthening the economic, cultural, and social relations between the two countries.

Earlier, on September 14, Vietnam Airlines and China Southern Airlines held their first meeting to concretize the contents reached in the agreement under the co-chair of their deputy CEOs Trinh Ngoc Thanh and Luo Laijun.

Founded in 1995, Guangzhou-based China Southern Airlines is the biggest carrier in China. It is operating the largest modern fleet of aircraft, having the biggest route network, and carrying the largest number of passengers.
