The PM thanked Philipp Rosler and the World Economic Forum for organising a dialogue between him and leaders of global groups on the sideline of WEF Davos 2019 in Switzerland’s city of Zurich in January.
He briefed the economist on Vietnam’s socio-economic situation over the years, with sound macro-economic development.
Vietnam has rolled out various institutions and policies to spur national growth and remove difficulties to production and business, he said, adding that the domestic business environment has been improved remarkably.

Currently, the country is home to 26,000 operational foreign direct investment (FDI) projects with total registered capital amounting to nearly 350 billion USD. There has also been a notable rise of more and more large investors coming to Vietnam with large-scale projects.
PM Phuc called on Rosler to help Vietnam with startup development, a field which he is particularly interested in, in order to make the country’s startup projects and programmes more effective and practical.
For his part, Rosler congratulated Vietnam on its successful organisation of the second summit between the US and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) in Hanoi last month.
He said international press has covered the event as well as the land and people of Vietnam before, during, and after the meeting, which has demonstrated the country’s increasing role in global politics.
Vietnam has established a new, important position for itself in the world’s political map, he stressed.
Recalling the dialogue between PM Phuc and investors in Zurich, Rosler said international investors were impressed by the role and significant contributions of the PM and Vietnamese delegates to WEF Davos 2019.
He hailed the Vietnamese Government’s policies in support of foreign investors in the country, pledging to step up cooperation and support activities through programmes and projects under the German House project in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
PM Phuc highly valued the German House project’s specific programmes and projects, thus contributing to mutual understanding, cultural exchange, and economic cooperation between the people and businesses of Vietnam and Germany.
