Viettel Fastest 2022 collects VND 600 million for Heart for Children program
PANO - The second Viettel Fastest race (Viettel Fastest 2022) took place on April 24 at Hoan Kiem walking street in Hanoi, with the participation of 2,000 athletes at home and abroad.
The event was co-held by the Viettel Telecom and Tam Long Viet (Vietnamese Heart) Fund of the Vietnam Television.
Accordingly, the organizing panel collected over VND 600 million from ticket sales. The money was sent to “Heart for Children,” a charity heart surgery program founded by the Military Industry-Telecoms Group (Viettel) and Tam Long Viet Fund.
As scheduled, the organizing panel will hold a similar Viettel Fastest in Ho Chi Minh City on September 9 this year.
Viettel Fastest is the first 10-kilometer marathon in Vietnam for professional, semi-professional athletes and new Personal Records (PR).
According to Viettel Telecom’s Deputy General Director Nguyen Quang Lap, running is a good sport for physical health; therefore, Viettel Fastest 2022 not only created a playground for running lovers but it also promoted sports activities and physical exercise among the community.
The whole revenue from ticket sales will be used to cure needy children suffering from heart diseases for free, he added.
Themed “Speed up with technology,” participants to Viettel Fastest 2022 experienced numerous new technologies developed by Viettel Telecom, namely online management system by registration codes, facial recognition check-in, electronic waiver, to name but a few.
The People’s Army Newspaper Online would like to introduce some photos of the race.
