Seeing off the delegation at the airport, Deputy Director of the Department of Sports and Physical Training Le Thi Hoang Yen sent the best wishes to the delegation and expressed her belief that Vietnamese athletes would show their skills and spirit, and talent to fulfill all assigned missions.

Accordingly, the 4th Asian Para Games will take place from October 22 to 28 in Hangzhou, China. The Vietnamese sport delegation includes 48 athletes, competing in seven sports: athletics, swimming, weightlifting, chess, table tennis, badminton, and taekwondo.

They set a goal to achieve three to four gold medals. Many of them have passed the qualifying round and met the standards to participate in the Paralympics 2024.

On behalf of the delegation, head of the Vietnamese sport delegation attending 4th Asian Para Games Nguyen Hong Minh promised that all participating athletes will heighten their dedication and uphold solidarity to gain the highest results.

Meanwhile, each athlete will act as a cultural ambassador of peace, contributing to maintaining and strengthening solidarity, friendship, cooperation and development with countries in the continent.
