Vietnamese futsal players for AFF Futsal Championship 2022 named

The championship is seen as the qualifying round of the AFC Futsal Asian Cup 2022.

The 14-member squad has the presence of Van Y, Duc Hoa, Van Vu, Dinh Hung, Minh Tri, Doan Phat, and Van Hieu, who outstandingly played at World Cup 2021.

Apart from the 14 official members, the Vietnamese futsal team also has five substitutes, namely Xuan Hiep, That Phi, Dac Huy, Anh Duy, and Thai Huy in case of COVID-19 infections.

At 11:00 on April 4, Vietnam will play Myanmar in their first match in Group B.

To prepare for this match, the Vietnamese team had a training session to get used to the field. Under the direction of coach Pham Minh Giang, players practiced tactics, 10m free-kick scenarios, and improved finishing skills.

Speaking at a press conference before the championship, coach Pham Minh Giang expressed his confidence in the team’s preparation. He confirmed that he and his students are ready to achieve all set goals. The first goal is entering the top 3 to win a berth for the AFC Futsal Asian Cup 2022.
