The second half continued to showcase fierce competition, but neither team managed to find the net, leading to extra time.
In extra time, Phuong Anh shined in the 42nd minute with a powerful shot from outside the box, giving Vietnam a 1-0 lead. However, Thailand quickly equalized in the 46th minute when Thanh Ngan scored an own goal in a power play.
Undeterred, Vietnam pressed on and regained the lead in the 48th minute. Phuong Anh struck again, scoring from a close range after a corner kick.
The match ended with a 2-1 victory for Vietnam, not only securing the championship but also highlighting the team's progress and resilience.
Vietnamese player Phuong Anh was honored as the Top Scorer of the tournament with five goals, while Thanh Hang was voted the Best Player.
Following their victory over Thailand in the final, the Vietnamese women's futsal team received a reward of 600 million VND (approximately 23,600 USD) from the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) in recognition of their impressive achievements.
