Vietnam targets to be in Top 3 at SEA Games 32
PANO - Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung on April 17 signed a decision on establishing a Vietnam sport delegation to the 2023 Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games 32) to be hosted by Cambodia this May.
Under the decision, the Vietnamese delegation has 1,003 members, including 702 athletes competing in 31 sports with 446 events.
The Vietnamese sport delegation sets a goal of winning 90 to 120 gold medals and finishing in the Top 3 at SEA Games 32.

Head of the Vietnamese sport delegation is Dang Ha Viet, General Director of the Vietnam Sports Administration. Two deputy head delegates are Hoang Quoc Vinh and Ngo Ich Quan, directors of the High Performance Sports Divisions 1 and 2, respectively.
Also on April 17, Minister Nguyen Van Hung chaired a meeting to review the preparation for the 32rd Games.
He hoped that each athlete will act as an ambassador to popularize the beautiful images of Vietnam, its culture and people among international friends.
He asked them to compete with the highest resolve for national honor and colors.
