Vietnam’s U20 football team warms up for World Cup
Vietnam’s U20 football team lost to U23 Borussia Monchengladbach 0-1 in a friendly match on April 19, part of their two-week training course in Germany to prepare for the upcoming FIFA U20 World Cup in the Republic of Korea.

The squad will meet U21 Roda JC of the Netherlands at Seghemanstraat Stadium on April 23 and Fortuna 05 Dusseldorf on April 26 in Duisburg before returning home on April 28 to prepare for a friendly match with Argentina’s U20 team.
Vietnam is in Group E with France, Honduras and New Zealand at the FIFA U20 World Cup scheduled to take place from May 20 to June 11.
The first and second teams of each group and four third place squads with the best performances will be qualified for the next round.
This is the second time Vietnam competes at a world football tournament after its national fulsal team attended the Futsal World Cup in Colombia last year.
