UNESCO proposes to send international athletes to train in Vietnam

During the meeting, UNESCO’s members in Vietnam said that Vietnam remains a safe destination amid the global Covid-19 outbreak.

Accordingly, UNESCO proposed to send prominent international athletes to Vietnam for training courses. If the Vietnamese government and Vietnam’s General Department of Sports accepts the proposal, UNESCO and participating countries would be willing to pay all the accommodation expenses and provide training equipment for Vietnam.

The General Department of Sports said it will report the UNESCO proposal to the government and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
