The regional football tourney is scheduled to take place from February 17-26.

Ahead of the event, Vietnam played a friend with the Republic of Korean’s Ulsan Hyundai FC which ended in a 0-0 draw.

In Group A, Vietnam will face the Philippines on February 17, Timor Leste on February 19 and Thailand two days later.

Group B includes Malaysia, Indonesia, Myanmar and Cambodia.

Two best teams of each group will advance to the semi-finals.

Speaking with reporters, head coach Nguyen Quoc Tuan said his team would be in the final.

All 16 matches of the 2019 AFF U22 Championship will be aired on VTV5 and VTV6.
