U-20 Vietnam beats U-20 Qatar 2-1
PANO – On the night of March 4 (Hanoi time), the Vietnam national U-20 team (U-20 Vietnam) won 2-1 against U-20 Qatar in their second match of Group B in Uzbekistan.
Playing defensively and counter-attacking quickly, U-20 Vietnam took the lead in the 45th+2 minute thanks to a goal from Quoc Viet.

In the second half, U-20 Vietnam played with confidence but failed to convert their chances, and instead, conceded a penalty in the 85th minute, allowing Al-Rawi to equalize for U-20 Qatar.
The goal spurred U-20 Vietnam to play more determinedly, and their efforts were rewarded in the 90th minute when Van Truong scored a backward header, securing a 2-1 victory for the Golden Star warriors.
With six points after two matches, U-20 Vietnam leads Group B and has a good chance of advancing to the quarterfinals. In the previous match, U-20 Iran lost 2-3 to U-20 Australia. U-20 Vietnam will face U-20 Iran at 5 p.m. on March 7th.
