On November 21, the organizing committee of the SEA Games 33 scheduled to take place from December 9 to 20, 2025 officially announced the list of competitions. Fifty competitions with 105 sub-disciplines and three performance events will be held at the regional sports event.

Accordingly, 50 sports that Thailand will officially host at the Games next year are divided into three groups.
Group 1 includes aquatic sports, athletics, archery, badminton, basketball, canoeing and rowing, cycling, equestrian sports, fencing, handball, hockey, judo, rugby, sailing, shooting, table tennis, taekwondo, tennis, triathlon, volleyball, wrestling, skating, ice hockey, and weightlifting.
Group 2 gathers baseball and softball, billiards & snooker, boxing, floorball, e-sports, muay, netball, pencak silat, petanque, sepak takraw, squash, bowling, karate, jujitsu, wushu, kabaddi, teqball, kickboxing, bowls, chess.
Meanwhile, Group 3 has flying disc, tug of war, and aerial sports. These sports are meant for demonstration competitions.
Notably, tug-of-war rituals and games in Vietnam, Cambodia, the Republic of Korea, and the Philippines were officially recognized by UNESCO as the intangible cultural heritage of humanity in 2015.
