From the opening whistle, Vietnam applied intense pressure on Brunei’s defense. Less than two minutes into the game, Thai Huy exhibited impressive skills with a dribble down the right flank, netting a sharp-angled shot to put Vietnam on the board. Shortly afterward, Huy struck again, securing a 2-0 lead within just three minutes.

In the 10th minute, Doan Phat curled a skillful shot to make it 3-0. Although Vietnam continued to create numerous chances, Brunei’s determined defense held firm. Near the end of the first half, Vietnam deployed a power-play strategy but failed to add to their lead. Fortunately, goalkeeper Van Y again shined in the 18th minute, blocking a 10-meter penalty kick from Metali to maintain Vietnam's 3-0 advantage going into the break.

Right in the first minute of the second half, Nhat Trung scored Vietnam’s fourth goal, and Anh Dung quickly followed with a fifth. From there, Vietnam launched an unstoppable offensive, adding goals from Duc Hoa (the 26th minute), Thai Huy (27’), Thinh Phat (31’), Minh Quang (33’ and 34’), Mi Woen (35’and 36’), Da Hai (38’), and Ngoc Anh (39’), sealing a commanding 14-0 triumph.

After this victory, Vietnam remain unbeaten with three wins. If Malaysia fail to defeat Thailand in their match on November 5 evening, Vietnam will secure a place in the semifinals with one match to spare.
