This year’s tournament, the eighth of its kind, draws the participation of 271 chess players from 21 countries and territories to compete in two tables, namely Masters and Challengers.

Number-one Vietnamese chess player Le Quang Liem (Elo 2736) is the seeded No.1 of the tourney’s Masters Table in the men’s category.

Wang Hao (China, Elo 2713), Sethuraman (India, Elo 2649), Mareco Sandro (Argentina, Elo 2635), Gordievsky Dmitry (Russia, Elo 2630), Aravindh Chithambaram (India, Elo 2617), and Wen Yang (China, Elo 2608) will join the competition.

The winner of the Masters in the men’s category will go away with USD 15,000 and the winner in the women’s category will pocket USD 5,000.

The total prize of this tourney is USD 55,000.
