In the young men’s 10km event, athlete Ba Van Han from the military bagged gold with a record of 33 minutes 03 seconds. Meanwhile, in the men’s marathon, athlete Hoang Nguyen Thanh (Binh Phuoc province) successfully sustained the gold medal as he reached the finish line first in 2 hours 36 minutes 02 seconds.

In the women’s marathon, Le Thi Tuyet finished her competition first in 2 hours 54 minutes 33 seconds. Meanwhile, Hoang Thi Ngoc Hoa ranked second with a time of 2 hours 59 minutes 42 seconds.

In the women’s 5km event, Nguyen Thi Oanh from Bac Giang province won the first prize in 17 minutes 25 seconds. In the young women’s 5km event, Nguyen Thi Ninh sustained gold medal within 18 minutes 36 seconds. In the young women’s team event, the military team ranked first with 11 points. Meanwhile, in the men’s team event, the military team kept their first position with 11 points.

At the women’s 21km distance, Pham Thi Hong Le (Binh Dinh province) finished first within 1 hour 25 minutes 32 seconds. At the men’s 21km distance, Trieu Tien Luyen (Binh Thuan province) was the winner with 1 hour 14 minutes 52 seconds.

As a result, the military delegation secured its first position with five golds, one silver and one bronze.
