The event themed “Preserving and promoting cultural identity of Hmong People in the country’s renewal, integration and development period” will feature activities related to the ethnic Hmong people such as a pan-pipe festival, a traditional costume display, folk song performances, cuisine, and native products.
Seventeen provinces nationwide with a large number of Hmong people will participate in the festival.
Vietnam has about 800,000 Hmong people, one of the country’s ethnic minorities with a large population. Most of the Hmong people live in mountainous areas at a height of 700 meters to 1,500 meters above sea level in the North, North-central and Central Highlands regions.
