Infantino conveyed his congratulations and wishes for the teams’ continued success during a recent meeting with Tuan. The meeting, which also saw the presence of FIFA Secretary General Mattias Grafsström, took place on the sidelines of the sessions of FIFA’s functional committees held in Doha, Qatar.

For his part, Grafsström spoke highly of the positive results achieved by Vietnamese football in recent years, expressing confidence that with a methodical, professional, and sustainable development strategy, the sport will continue to make further progress in the time ahead.
Tuan thanked FIFA, Infantino, and Grafsström for their consistent attention, support, and close cooperation with member associations, including Vietnam.
He underlined that FIFA’s practical assistance has greatly contributed to Vietnamese football’s achievements, helping to gradually improve facilities, infrastructure, and conditions for national teams.
The meeting affirmed the fruitful cooperation between FIFA and the VFF, aimed at the shared goal of promoting the sustainable development of Vietnamese football in line with FIFA’s global football development strategy.
According to the competition schedule, Vietnam’s U22 team will face hosts Thailand in the men’s football final of the 33rd SEA Games on December 18. Meanwhile, the women’s team are set to play the Philippines in the final on December 17.
