Website on archived photos of Vietnam and France launched
PANO - The Institute of Social Sciences Information (ISSI) and the French School of the Far East (EFEO) launched a website to introduce archived photos of the two agencies on February 15 in Hanoi.
This was an activity within the framework of the 50th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Vietnam and France (1973-2023).

This online photo library has nearly 70,000 photos, including 57,000 photos from ISSI’s photo archive and over 10,000 photos from EFEO’s. These were taken in Vietnam and other Asian countries from early 20th century to the 1980s.
This library, at the website https://collection.efeo.fr/ws/issi/app/report/index.html, is managed by a modern tool and capitalizes on available things such as digitized photo collections and database management.
At the launch of the website, the French Embassy in Vietnam, ISSI and EFEO also introduced a photo exhibition "A century of scientific photo archive: Common heritage of the French School of the Far East and the Institute of Social Sciences Information."
