Bui Truong Giang secured a silver medal for the Vietnamese wushu delegation on September 24th at the 17th Asian Games (ASIAD) in the Republic of Korea (RoK).

In the mens’ 56kg category, in the final round with Chinese rival Fuxiang Zao, he lost 2–0, coming in second place and winning a silver medal.
This was the Vietnamese wushu delegation’s last match of the season, winning one gold, two silver and 4 bronze medals.
Vietnamese gymnast Phan Thi Ha Thanh also won a bronze medal in the gymnastics final for her performance, with a total of 14.683 points. Athletes from the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and Uzbekistan secured gold and silver medals.
