Vietnamese traditional Tet to be re-lived at West Lake Park
PANO – The “Welcoming the year of the Rooster” program featuring many attractive activities will be held at the West Lake Park by the Hanoi Entertainment Service Corporation (HASECO) to meet the needs of entertainment of visitors in Hanoi during the Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday.
Under the theme “Vietnamese Tet 2017”, the park will feature the Southern and Northern regions’ characteristics. Traditional Tet in the North will be recaptured with images of peaceful rivers, wells, and vegetable gardens. Meanwhile, that in the South will be featured with the bright yellow color of apricot blossoms and the gate of the Ben Thanh Market.
Particularly, during the first four days of the Lunar New Year, special artistic performances, including dragon dancing, Van singing, Quan Ho singing (Vietnamese folk music), folk dances, magic games, and street music will bring a traditional atmosphere to visitors.
