According to Deputy Head of the Department of Cultural Affairs and UNESCO Tran Quoc Khanh, this was part of efforts to popularize the image of a traditional and dynamic Vietnam to French people.

He said he hoped the day will become an annual event in both France and other countries.

Mayor of Argelès-sur-Mer city Antoine Parra said it was the first time the city had cooperated with Vietnam to organize such an event, expressing his wish for the cultural exchange to benefit both sides for long-term collaboration.
