Vietnam earned two gold medals in the ongoing Asian Taekwondo Championships to take a second-place ranking on May 6 in HCM City.
World gold medallists Nguyen Dinh Toan and Nguyen Minh Tu successfully topped the mixed double event of the poomsae (performance) category.
Toan, the world champion, only earned a silver medal in the men's singles category.
Earlier, trio Nguyen Thi Thu Ngan, Chau Tuyet Ngan and Nguyen Thuy Xuan Linh won in the women's team pool.
The Republic of Korea took the lead with six gold medals after two poomsae events for the senior and junior athletes. Vietnam came second, followed by Iran and the Philippines.
The combat events kicked off on May 6 and will be wrapped up on May 11.
