During the visit, Mr. Nghia extended best wishes to the 100-year-old journalist on the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, hoping that he will maintain his health to continue writing the golden pages of the history of the People’s Army Newspaper in particular, and the Vietnam Revolution Press in general, and be a bright example for young journalists to follow.
Journalist Nguyen Khac Tiep was born in 1923 in Hung Yen province. In 1950, he was selected as a reporter of the People’s Army Newspaper. He was among those getting engaged in the 33 issues of the newspaper published right at the battlefield in the Dien Bien Phu Operation. He was awarded the 75-year Party membership badge.

* On the same day, Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Gau, Deputy Director of the General Department of Political Affairs (GDP) of the Vietnam People’s Army, visited the Nhan Dan Newspaper, the Communist Review, the Ministry of Information and Communications, and the Vietnam News Agency.
During the visits, Gen. Gau hoped that the press agencies would continue coordinating with the Ministry of National Defense and the GDP to provide timely and accurate information, raise the information quality and disseminate information about military-defense tasks, military building and national defense in a comprehensive and intensive manner.
* On June 19, Lieutenant General Le Quang Minh, GDP Deputy Director, led a delegation to visit and extend greetings to the People’s Army Newspaper, the Art and Letters Magazine, the National Defense Journal, the People's Army Cinema, and the Military Broadcasting Center on the occasion of the 98th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.
Upon being briefed on the military press agencies’ task performance over the past time, Gen. Minh appraised their great efforts and achievements which were highly appreciated by the public and received the trust of the Party and State, contributing to affirming their position and prestige in the Vietnamese revolutionary press.
He also requested the press agencies to provide timely and accurate information about the Party’s guideline and the State’s policies, contributing to orienting public opinion and fighting against wrongful viewpoints of hostile forces.
