A festival, entitled “Quintessence of Vietnamese’s Tet” will take place for the first time at the Ho Tay Water Park from January 22nd to February 7th”.

Ten rock bands from variousvuniversities, The Ngu Cung Band and singer, Kasim Hoang Vu, will give performances at the “Student Gala Night to Rock” program as an opening ceremony for the great festival.

Duong Quang Hop and ten Chinese artists will show special capacities of people through their performances the following day.

Participants will release more than 10,000 Đèn hoa đăng (flower candle lanterns) on West Lake in a program, “Twinkle of the Westlake – Praying through lanterns” to open on the night of New Year’s Eve to pray for a prosperous Vietnam and a peaceful life for all of the people.

All money earned from selling lanterns, will be granted to the fund “Hearts For You”, led by Vietnam Television, to help children with congenital heart diseases.
