Tuyen Quang festival to promote cultural values
PANO - This year’s Tuyen Quang festival will take place from September 25 to 26 (the ninth and tenth day of August in the lunar calendar) in Tuyen Quang city, Tuyen Quang province, according to a new plan approved by the provincial People’s Committee.

The two-day festival aims to popularize the cultural heritage values and the history of Tuyen Quang, a revolutionary locality.
Apart from the opening and closing ceremony of the festival, other highlights of the event include a gala evening and a display on the Then singing practice of Vietnam’s ethnic groups of Tay, Nung, and Thai, which has been recognized as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
Local specialties and other typical tourism products will also be introduced to tourists during the festival.
On the occasion, eleven participating provinces and cities nationwide will showcase their special products at the festival.
