Trang An Festival 2026 attracts a large number of local people and visitors from all over the country.

The festival serves as an occasion to educate younger generations about national traditions, honor the contribution of former generations, and continue upholding the historical depth and enduring value of the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex. It also aims to inspire revolutionary traditions and national pride among people, while highlighting the distinctive cultural, historical, and spiritual identity of an ancient capital nestling within a world heritage site.

Beyond enabling local people and visitors to offer prayers for peace, favorable weather, and bountiful harvests and honor those who contributed to the exploration and protection of the sacred Trang An land, the 2026 festival conveys a clear message: humanity must respect, preserve, and live in harmony with nature.

The event is also known as the “Forest opening ceremony,” based on the belief that forests remain closed year-round, with human exploitation strictly prohibited, except for a single day, the 17th day of the third lunar month, when controlled access is permitted. As such, the Trang An Festival is not merely a celebration but a community commitment: to live within the heritage, preserve it, and pass it on to future generations.
