The four-day event included a range of activities honoring Vietnamese culture and food, especially via 150 booths displaying various products and specialties of localities across the country, receiving over 90.000 local people and foreign tourists. Business activities at the event recorded VND 50 billion in revenue.

A highlight of the festival was an exhibition to feature how three regions of Vietnam welcome Tet festival according to their own cultural identities.

At the same time, a space of 121 typical culinary dishes under the project “Building Vietnamese culinary culture to become a national brand” also drew a large number of people.

Moreover, the organization panel held a free tour for and presented Tet gifts to 200 underprivileged children who are now living in childcare centers in Ho Chi Minh City.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City’s Tourism Department held that the Vietnamese Tet festival actually becomes an annual event of the city, contributing to further popularizing and preserving traditional cultural identities of the country, and also attracting more travelers inside and outside the country to the Southern hub of Vietnam.
