Stamp launched to mark Party’s 90th founding anniversary
A stamp celebrating the 90th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3) made its first public appearance in Hanoi on January 31.
The stamp, designed by painter To Minh Trang of the Vietnam Post Corporation, features number 90 on the Party’s flag with the portrait of late President Ho Chi Minh, the founder of the Party.
It also shows the image of a dove which implies peace and national independence, along with some structures representing the country’s achievements in economy, industrialisation, and modernisation under the Party’s leadership.
Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Pham Anh Tuan said the stamp is hoped to help improve public awareness of the Party and affirm the Party’s role, prestige, leadership capacity, combat strength, and faithfulness to the nation’s interests over the past nine decades.
The stamp measures 43mm by 32mm and has a face value of 4,000 VND. It is available on the public postal network from January 31, 2020, to December 31, 2021.
