Five members of the Institute of Chinese and Sino-Vietnamese Scripts will co-organize a calligraphy exhibition entitled “Spring Colour” on January 14th at the 1st floor hall of the Institute's headquarters at 183 Dang Tien Dong Street, Hanoi.

The showcased calligraphy works were produced on three materials, including traditional paper for calligraphy, glass and white silk.

Sure to draw special attention from visitors is a huge character “Long” (Dragon) written on a 5m long white silk sheet. Visitors will also be interested with the calligraphy works on glasses, as the characters can be seen from both sides.

The exhibition will be success for the movement to apply new technologies to the ancient art of calligraphy, bringing traditional values into the modern times.

Also at the exhibition, visitors will have a chance to see a new style of Sino-Vietnamese script, “Nom Trien” – the seal characters of Sino Vietnamese, which have never appeared in the national calligraphy history of Vietnam.

Moreover, viewers will be entertain with shows and calligraphy performances during the three days of the exhibition.
