PANO - The German Embassy in Hanoi and the Dai Viet Brewery Company on November 14th signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on producing a special kind of beer to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Germany diplomatic ties (1975-2015).

The MoU signing ceremony

This kind of beer will be available to the local market early next year, contributing to widely popularizing the special event in both Vietnam and Germany.

Deputy Ambassador and Economic Counselor at the German Embassy Hans-Jörg Brunner held that the two countries have been connecting with each other in many fields via close exchanges, including culinary culture. He emphasized that drinking beer is one of the cultural features of Vietnamese and German people.

For his part, Head of Huong Sen Group and CEO of the Dai Viet Brewery Company Tran Van Sen stressed that it was the honor for his company to produce the special beer, as it confirms the company’s prestige.

Under the MoU, the beer either in bottles or cans will have the official symbol of the anniversary and the Dai Viet brand, and should comply with the German Beer Purity Law issued in 1516. Its production will be observed by experienced German experts in brewing beer to ensure Germany’s standards.
