PANO - The Singing and Dancing Military Theatre, on March 15th, celebrated its 60th founding anniversary and received the Independence Order, the third-class.
General Phung Quang Thanh, Politburo member, National Defence Minister sent a letter and flowers to congratulate the theatre.
Lieutenant-General Ngo Xuan Lich, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army, Lieutenant-General Nguyen Tuan Dung, Vice-Director of the General Department of Politics, Lieutenant-General Tran Quang Khue, Deputy-Chief of the General Staff and a number of commanders, senior officials of the Army were present at the event.
Colonel Dang Van Hung, Director of the Theatre, recalled the glorious traditions of the theatre over the past 60 years. Despite difficulties in the struggle against the French colonists, the theatre has kept its leading position in musical activities in the army.
Nowadays, with the support of the Military Central Commission, the National Defence Ministry, the General Department of Politics and relevant bodies, the theatre’s staff are trying their best to obtain more achievements and further serve both soldiers and civilians.
On behalf of the State President, Lieutenant-General Ngo Xuan Lich conferred the third-class Independence Order to the theatre.
Lieutenant-General Ngo Xuan Lich also appreciated highly the talents at culture-ideology of the theatre’s artists cum soldiers, greatly contributing to the building of the Army as well as politically.
The General asked the theatre’s staff to keep up the good work to fulfil all the assigned tasks.
