In his opening remarks, Pham Minh Son emphasized that journalism and communications serve as a vanguard force on the ideological and cultural front, acting as a bridge connecting the Party, the State, and the people. They also play a vital role in disseminating official information, fostering social consensus, and strengthening public trust in the Party, the State, and the socialist system.
However, he noted that increasingly fierce competition in the online information environment, the spread of fake news and misinformation, the fragmentation of audiences, and the growing impact of artificial intelligence are creating new challenges and requirements for journalism and communications in supporting Party-building efforts today.
