Pham Quynh Anh, a female Vietnamese Belgian singer, whose “Bonjour Vietnam” moved many Vietnamese at home and abroad in 2006, has completed a single named “Hello Vietnam”.

After her duet with Marc Lavoine, a famous French singer, on her “J’espère” album, and successful tours of France, Switzerland and Belgium, Pham Quynh Anh has just released “Hello Vietnam”.

This single is now on sale at bookshops in France and on iTunes. The song is performed in English instead of in French, which was previously downloaded with low quality on the Internet. The English version was translated by Guy Balbaert from Marc Lavoine and Yvan Coriat’s original in French.

She believes that she was lucky to win the prize of a singing contest held by French television, and to do a duet with Marc Lavoine. “Marc Lavoine wrote the first songs for me, including “Bonjour Vietnam”, which has created it own story. The recording demo was uploaded on the Internet accidentally. After several days, Vietnamese communities all over the world listened to it and were moved by its message. This is beyond the imagination of a young singer like me.”
