The 3.8 tons heavy and 2.2m tall statue of monolithic jade originating from Canada and crafted by Thai artists features Sakyamuni Buddha meditating on a lotus throne.

The procession of the Buddha statue to Quynh Lam pagoda - the first Buddhist Academy in the country under the Tran dynasty and a pagoda dedicated to a Goddess located in Trang An ward, Dong Trieu town - created a sacred atmosphere and a good omen for Dong Trieu. This also created favorable conditions for the preservation and promotion of the values of the Tran dynasty relic site in Quang Ninh province.
