Peace singing festival recognized as national intangible cultural heritage
PANO – The peace singing traditional festival in Thanh Loi commune, Vu Ban district, Nam Dinh province has just been recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The festival features cultural space of the Tran Dynasty, reflecting important historical values, affirming the role and great contributions of the local people in Gao village (Thanh Loi commune) during the national resistance war against the Mongol empire.
The festival is held every three years, from the 9th to the 11th day of the third month in lunar years of the Tiger, Monkey, Snake, and Pig.
It shows people’s dreams, aspirations and cultural creativeness, contributing to preserving national cultural identity.
