Over 50 teams to compete in Soc Trang “Ngo” Boat Race Festival

The race

PANO - The second “Ngo” Boat Race Festival will open on November 19^th in Soc Trang city, Soc Trang province.

The six-day festival will see interesting activities, including an exhibition fair, a food competition, a street festival, a sports festival, a typical festival of the Khmer ethnic minority group in which traditional rituals, such as floating lanterns of different shapes and worshipping the Moon, will be featured.

The highlight of the festival will be the “Ngo” boat race tourney on November 24^th and 25^th on the Maspero River, with the competition of 55 teams in the two categories of men’s 1,200m and women’s 1,000m.
