PANO – Two Vietnamese documentary heritage items were recognized by UNESCO during the 7th general meeting of the Memory of the World Committee for Asia and the Pacific (MOWCAP).

Two Vietnamese dossiers – the "Royal Literature on Hue Royal Architecture" and "Wood block of Phuc Giang school" (Ha Tinh province) – were nominated for the MOWCAP List of Documentary Heritage in 2016. 16 dossiers were submitted by 10 countries.

The event drew the participation of international representatives from 16 countries of Asia and the Pacific, including Vietnamese agencies.

The meeting was jointly organized by the Thua Thien-Hue provincial People’s Committee, the Vietnam National Commission for UNESCO, and MOWCAP. It took place from May 18th to 21st in Hue city.
