King Le Hoan Temple recognized as special national relic
PANO – The temple dedicated to King Le Hoan (Le Dai Hanh) in Xuan Lap commune, Tho Xuan district, Thanh Hoa province received the certificate recognizing it as a special national relic on April 12 for the its art and architectural values.
The artistic and architectural values of the project is that the temple is shaped like the Chinese word “工”. Particularly, many ancient documents and relics such as epitaphs, imperial orders, antithetical couplets, calligraphic words and the incense-table, and more are preserved in the temple.
The King Le Hoan Festival is usually held for three days featuring various traditional cultural activities and folk games, such as the Le Dynasty’s barracks building competition, wrestling, tug-of-war, Chinese chess and cake-making competition to name but a few.
