The exhibition will display works by 35 artisans from seven major traditional kiln sites in Japan. Japanese artisans have different orientations, including those who continue families’ long-time traditions of pottery production and at the same time absorbing and applying contemporary arts to their products, and those who seek new approaches and create individualistic works.

Visitors will learn more about the present situation and the future development trend of Japanese traditional pottery.

The free exhibition will open at 9:30am on October 14.
