Huong Giang is the second Vietnamese to be selected in the list of Top 50 Miss Grand Slam 2009 of the Global Beauties, following Truong Tri Truc Diem.

The existing Miss Universe, Stefania Fernandes, is not included in the list of the Top 50 Miss Grand Slam 2009. She is the first Miss Universe to be excluded in the list during the decade-long history of Miss Grand Slam Award. Stefania ranks 52nd.

In the Top 50 list, 20 are from America, 16 from Europe, 9 from Asia, 3 from Africa and 2 are from Oceania.

Formerly Huong Giang was once selected as one of the three Sexiest Woman Alive, and was among the Top 10 Faces of the Year organised by the Global Beauties.
