PANO – An artistic program, titled “City of gratitude – Connecting love”, will be broadcast live on the Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) Television channel (HTV) at 8:30 pm on November 25. The program, announced at a press conference on November 16, aims to raise fund for the poor in the city.

In response to the national target program of new-style rural area construction and sustainable poverty reduction, the emulation movement titled “Joining hands for the poor – No one left behind”, and the campaign “United to build new rural areas and urban civilization”, the fund for the poor of the city has received over VND 131 billion.

Over the past years, the fund handed over 441 gratitude houses to policy families and disadvantaged households; presented nearly 16,000 scholarships named Nguyen Huu Tho to needy students; offered 42,000 health insurance cards, 141 working tools and thousands of gifts to policy families, poor households. On these activities, the fund spent more than VND 115 billion.

The artistic program is a part of the activities aiming to call for the contribution of locals to helping poor households with the target of sustainable poverty reduction. The program will feature a number of special performances with the participation of popular artists and singers. It will also screen video clips on typical examples of poverty reduction.
