PANO – The Spring Book Street officially opened on February 10th or the 3rd of Lunar January along Le Thach street, Hoan Kiem urban district, capturing attention of numerous visitors and book-lovers.

Twenty booths at the event are divided into two themes of display, namely “Welcoming the Party - Welcoming Spring” and “Thang Long – Hanoi.” Publishers and book printers joining the event offer diversified types of books for different groups of readers.

The National Political Publishing House brings to the street books on the achievements of the revolutionary cause, the Communist Party of Vietnam, President Ho Chi Minh, socio-economic development of the country, and more. Especially, the publishing house showcases books on geography of different provinces and regions of the country.

Book-lovers flocking to the book street

Joining the event, Alpha Bookprinter captures the attention of a lot of people as it displays a series of history books printed by Hong Duc Publishing House. The books bring the readers vivid stories about key historical figures such as Tran Thu Do in the Tran Dynasty or Ton That Thuyet during the uprising against the French colonialists in the Nguyen Dynasty.

Children books are also on display by various bookprinters and publishers such as Kim Dong Publishing House, Tan Viet and Nha Nam bookprinters.

A special section of the street is dedicated to the art of tea-making and calligraphy while at the Octagonal Mansion, Dr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Chief Executive of Thaihabooks had a small exchange with readers on the opening day of the book street.

The book street will run until February 15th or the 8th of Lunar January.
