Fashion week to honor silk of Vietnam and Italy
PANO - The Vietnam-Italy Fashion Week 2018 will take place in Hanoi from March 16 to 19. During the event, silk will act as an ambassador to connect the cultures of the two countries, as revealed at a press conference co-hosted on March 14 by the Italian Embassy in Vietnam and the Vietnam-Italy Fashion Council.
The event will be part of a wide range of activities in celebration of the 45th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam-Italy diplomatic ties.

During the week, 18 designers, including two from Italy, will introduce their upcoming Fall-Winter 2018 silk collections at the Dien Hong Flower Garden.
In order to honor silk villages, silk weaving and artisans who have wholeheartedly preserved the traditional values of natural silk, the organizers will open a space and an exhibition introducing the silk weaving techniques of Hanoi and Bao Loc of the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong.
As part of the week, a concert will take place on the evening of March 16 to mark the establishment of two countries’ diplomatic ties at the Tuoi tre (Youth) Theater.
