Documentary about President Ho Chi Minh to be broadcast
PANO - The National Archives of Vietnam held a ceremony on May 14 to introduce the documentary, “Ho Chi Minh: Sketching a Portrait of a Politician,” made by French Director Gérard Guillaume in 1973.
The 58-minute long film which was copyrighted and stored by Cine-Archives (Movie Library of the French Communist Party) portrays the President’s revolutionary activities since his participation in the Tours Congress in 1920 and during the Vietnamese people’s Resistance War against French colonialists for national independence.

It will help viewers understand changes in the great leader’s thought and ideology on the revolutionary struggle and his historic decisions to gain national independence, reunification, and peace.
The film ends with the image of the testament of President Ho Chi Minh, calling on the Vietnamese people to firmly maintain the revolutionary spirit and the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
The film was broadcast on the Vietnam Television Channel 1 at 8:10p.m. on May 15 and other channels in celebration of the 129th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh and the 50th anniversary of the implementation of his testament.
