Ho Chi Minh City and the People’s Army Publishing House have released a book entitled “Dien Bien Soldiers Tell Stories”.
The book contains 43 proses and 9 poems told by veterans, who fought in the Dien Bien Phu battlefield and are now living in Ho Chi Minh City.
Notably, memoirs will take readers back to magnanimous times when both soldiers and officers had to overcome adversity to fight against the enemy. In addition, soldiers’ creativity and bravery, and their humane treatment to POWs and wounded enemy soldiers were also in the spotlight.
The book also highlighted the talent and bright leadership and direction of the party committee and the high commander of the campaign, especially General Vo Nguyen Giap.
The book was released in order to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the victory of the Dien Bien Phu Campaign.
