The event’s organizing committee will present cash prizes totaling VND 80 million (USD 3,600).
Da Nang was recognized as one of five central government cities in 1997 along with Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong and Can Tho cities. It was designated a ‘First Class’ Vietnamese city in 2003.
The former capital of the Quang Nam-Da Nang province is expected to play a prominent role in ASEAN and Asia in the future.
The city will host the 2017 APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation) Summit and the annual Da Nang International Fireworks Competition next year.
