Contributions of King Le Thanh Tong highlighted
PANO - The Vietnam Le Family Council and the Vietnam Center of Traditional and Historical Education on February 25 organized a commemoration of the 520th death anniversary of King Le Thanh Tong (1442 - 1497) at the Kinh Thien Palace in the Thang Long Royal Citadel Complex, Hanoi.

Present at the commemoration were former Party General Secretary Le Kha Phieu, Deputy Chief of the Party Central Committee’s Office Le Quang Vinh, and nearly 700 delegates from the Le Family councils in Vietnam.
The event is to pay deep gratitude to and recall King Le Thanh Tong’s merit of building a beautiful and rich country of Vietnam. It also demonstrates Vietnam’s tradition of “While drinking water, remember its source”.
King Le Thanh Tong was closely attached to the prosperous time of Vietnam in late 15th century and was honored by historians, scientists and people as a great man of culture and a national reformer.
During his nearly 40 years in power, King Le Thanh Tong conducted various reforms on politics, military, economy and culture and initiated the Hong Duc Code, bringing Vietnam to a high level of civilization.
