Cinema sector to hold film screening week
PANO - The Vietnam Cinema Department under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced on March 5 a movie screening week in celebration of the 65th anniversary of the establishment of the cinema sector.

The event will be jointly held by Feature Film Joint Stock Company No.1; the National Cinema Center; Cinestar Vietnam; departments of culture, sports and tourism, cinema centers of provinces and cities nationwide from March 9-15.
The movies screened include both feature and documentary movies on various different topics. Especially, the Vietnam Cinema Department, the National Cinema Center and Cinestar Vietnam will jointly screen outstanding movies that won titles in previous film festivals at the National Cinema Center in Hanoi and the cinema complex of Cinestar in Ho Chi Minh City.
Prior to the announcement of the week, on March 3, the Vietnam Cinema Department organized a trip to Doi Co relic complex in Diem Mac commune, Dinh Hoa district, Thai Nguyen province for cinema officials and artists. This is the place where President Ho Chi Minh signed the decision to establish the cinema sector of Vietnam on March 15, 1953.
